Bess Chef Challenge Rules

NATIONAL FLOUR MILLS (NFM) BESS CHEF COMPETITION RULES

By participating in this competition, you agree to and accept the following Terms & Conditions:
    1. National Flour Mills, in collaboration with Trini Cooking with Natasha, Trini Home Style Cooking, Meraki Catering TT, and Soulful Delights will be hosting the Bess Chef Competition on Facebook and Instagram between Monday 27th April, 2020 at midnight (GMT-4) and Sunday 31st May, 2020 at midnight (GMT -4)
    2. You must upload a photo of a dish you’ve created using the Challenge Ingredients published by NFM or its partners, to either your Facebook or Instagram social media profile. Challenge Ingredients will be published on Tuesdays at 9:00 a.m. on the following social media profiles/pages:
    3. You must do the following to qualify for entry:
      • Ensure the dish you’ve created uses the Challenge ingredients
      • Feature the Challenge ingredients (NFM products only) of the week in your photo/video entry. You can place the packaging next to your dish in your photo/video
      • Include the hashtag #nfmbesschef
      • Submit your photo by Saturday noon (GMT -4). Any submission after this deadline will not be accepted.
      • If you submit more than one photo/video, only the last submission that meets the Challenge’s requirements will be considered
    4. Three (3) winners will be selected every Sunday from the pool of qualified submissions by a judging panel appointed by National Flour Mills. The judging criteria will be as follows:
      • Creativity of dish = 5 points
      • Presentation of dish = 5 points
      • Unique name for dish = 5 points
      • Quality of the photo uploaded = 5 points
      • Total = 20 points
      In the event of a tie the judging panel will vote again on the dishes that are tied until the tie is broken
    5. The winners will be announced weekly on a Monday at midday (GMT -4) on the official Facebook and Instagram pages of National Flour Mills and/or its partners
    6. Each winner will receive a hamper of product and/or memorabilia courtesy of National Flour Mills (NFM)
    7. Each winner will have two (2) business days following the announcement to contact National Flour Mills to confirm his or her identity and acceptance of the prize by sending an email with a form of I.D. or sending us a Facebook inbox message. If a winner is unable to do so within this period, another winner will be selected
    8. There will be a total of fifteen (15) winners in the competition.Participants can only win once.
    9. The first prize winner from each batch of weekly winners will be selected to be part of a live demonstration competition in the near future, with details to be announced.If the first prize winner is unable or unwilling to participate, the runner up will be selected.

    11. National Flour Mills or its agency will inform the winner of the date and time he / she can collect the prize, based on its availability and your sending a valid form of I.D.
    12. By participating in this promotion, Participants give their permission to National Flour Mills to share or repost the images and/or footage posted for this competition.
    13. Employees of National Flour Mills, affiliate agencies and their immediate family are not eligible to enter this competition.
    14. Conditions of Entry:
      1. Participants acknowledge that compliance with the Rules set out above including all eligibility requirements is a necessary pre-condition to any prizes in the National Flour Mills Bess Chef Competition being awarded to them. For removal of all doubt, competitors who have not complied with these Rules are subject to disqualification
      2. National Flour Mills reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, modify or suspend the National Flour Mills Bess Chef Competition at any time, if fraud, technical failures, including any network server or hardware failure, viruses, bugs, errors in programming, or any other errors or other causes beyond the control of National Flour Mills corrupt the administration, security, integrity or proper running of the competition. In such cases National Flour Mills will inform competitors of such cancellation, modifications or suspensions of the National Flour Mills Bess Chef Competition via notifications by electronic mail or on their official Facebook and Instagram fan page/profile
      3. National Flour Mills does not warrant that access to or use of any third party’s website will be uninterrupted or free of any of the events stated below, due to the nature of internet services and electronic communications. National Flour Mills is not responsible for any problems that may arise, including but not limited to:
        • lost, interrupted, inaccessible or unavailable networks, or other connection, availability or accessibility problems arising in connection with or over the course of the competition
        • communications failed, jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected computer, telephone or cable transmissions or hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; or
        • failure of personal computers and/or software and hardware configurations, any technical malfunctions, failures, or difficulties, printing errors, clerical, typographical or other error in the offering or announcement of the prizes or in the prize notification; or
        • for any errors of any kind in connection with the promotion, whether human, mechanical, clerical, electronic, or technical in nature; or
        • the incorrect or inaccurate capture of information, or the failure to capture any information in connection with the promotion; or
        • any of the above arising from the actions or omissions of any third parties in relation to any aspect of the National Flour Mills Bess Chef Competition or the usage of any third party websites which are not under the control or operated fully by National Flour Mills
    15. Any attempt by a participant or other individual to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the National Flour Mills Bess Chef Competition, including but not limited to any fraudulent claims, may be a violation of criminal and/or civil laws of Trinidad and Tobago
    16. Should such an attempt be made, National Flour Mills reserves the right to seek remedies and damages from any such individual, to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution
    17. Participants engaging in any of the foregoing activities in (15) and (16) may be disqualified and will forfeit any prizes won. In no event will National Flour Mills be liable for more than the relevant prizes available in the National Flour Mills Bess Chef Competition
    18. In the event of any conflict with any promotion details contained in these Rules and Conditions and promotion details contained in point of sale, television and print, advertising, promotional packaging and other promotional media, (“Promotional Materials”) the details of the promotion set forth in these Rules and Conditions shall prevail.
    19. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Rules and Conditions shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Rules and Conditions shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein. National Flour Mills employees are not authorized to waive, modify or amend any provision or provisions of these Rules and Conditions in any manner whatsoever.
    20. All Participants agree to take part in any promotional, marketing or publicity activities or events reasonably requested by National Flour Mills and consent to the use and disclosure by National Flour Mills in any form of media of their names, likenesses and/or general areas of residence without compensation or further reference.
