“DELIVER IN FULL” WINS NFM CRICKET TOURNAMENT

“Deliver In Full” lived up to their title after winning the 2019 National Flour Mills (NFM) internal cricket tournament and subsequent match against an All Stars cricket team. Captain, Cedric Commissiong led his players to victory in the final against the Maintenance team to win by one wicket on September 13. This winning score was repeated on September 20, in the match against the All Stars squad comprising players from other participating teams in the tournament.

Other highlights include Glenford Alexander, who made the most runs with a total of 100 in the tournament. Akil Clarke copped the trophy for the most wickets, 7 in total. Tifarah George was the most outstanding female player. She took 5 wickets in 7 matches, scored a total of 24 runs, and took 3 wickets in one over for only 3 runs. Anthony George had the best catch of the tournament. He took a low, diving ‘bowl and caught’ catch to dismiss Glenford Alexander in a nail-biting game against Feed Mills. Haydn Durity was voted MVP. He scored a total of 87 runs and took 5 wickets in the tournament.

NFM’s Chief Operating Officer, Jason Mohammed commended all participating teams, volunteers, enthusiasts and sponsors, and gave the commitment that the company will continue its support for future internal cricket tournaments.
