National Flour Mills Limited (NFM) has added Pamela’s Cassava Flour and Pamela’s Coconut Flour to its range of traded products. In a bid to support the growing need for maintaining healthy lifestyles, NFM is supporting this initiative with the introduction of two non-wheat flour options―Pamela’s Cassava Flour and Pamela’s Coconut Flour are certified as non-GMO, organic, gluten-free and are also suitable for paleo meals and vegan diets. They can be used when baking and cooking and are available in 14oz packets.
Pamela’s Cassava Flour contains 7% of the daily value of fibre per serving and adds a more delicate texture to baked goods. It can be used as a 1-for-1 substitute for wheat flour in muffins, cakes, cookies, and quick breads, or in any recipe that calls for cassava flour.
Pamela’s Coconut Flour has 43% of the daily value of fibre per serving and 5g of protein per serving. It can be substituted 1/4 cup or more of the flour called for in recipes to add protein, fibre, and flavour to baked goods. This flour works well when combined with All-Purpose Flour, or in any recipe that calls for coconut flour.
