NFM Says Yes to NPATT’s CarniParang

National Flour Mills Limited (NFM) is supporting the National Parang Association of Trinidad and Tobago (NPATT) to host the first CarniParang Spanish Fusion concert on February 7, 2020. NFM’s contribution will assist NPATT to showcase the versatility in merging our Spanish musical cultural heritage with the music of Trinidad and Tobago carnival. The blend of steelpan melodies and parang to create new renditions of calypso classics and popular soca tunes is intended to create synergies and new genres of music. NPATT hopes to cultivate a niche of new possibilities for parang and calypso during the Carnival season in its quest to raise the national awareness of the art form. NFM is pleased to be part of this creative event in support of the development and diversification of local culture. CarniParang kicks off NPATT’s 2020 calendar of activities aimed at preserving and promoting parang throughout the year.
